Terms of Service

By using CapStudio you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

CapStudio is a browser-based tool that adds styled captions to short videos. Transcription and export run on your device. The service is currently in beta: features may change, and occasional issues are expected.

Some features require signing in with Google. You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for activity under it.

• CapStudio offers a free tier and a paid Pro plan (monthly or annual). Prices are shown in US dollars at checkout.
• Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
• A free trial, where offered, converts to a paid plan only if you choose to subscribe. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
• Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive your card details.

You keep all rights to your videos and captions. We claim no ownership of your content. Your video files stay on your device and are never uploaded. If you use Pro cloud sync, only your caption text and style settings are stored, so you can access them across devices. You are responsible for having the rights to any video you caption.

Do not use CapStudioto break the law, infringe others' rights, or to attack, overload, or attempt to disrupt the service or its providers.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Always keep your own copies of important files.

To the extent permitted by law, CapStudio and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or to protect the service.

We may update these terms as the product evolves and will revise the date above when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
